Per essere motivati a svolgere qualunque compito bisogna avere una speranza o promessa di riuscita, di solito non ci imbarchiamo consapevolmente in compiti disperati. In un presente bloccato nel contingente, nella gestione di continue emergenze qui e ora, non c’è spazio per il futuro. Il futuro è necessario per avere speranza e questo esiste solo se esiste il passato. Il passato esiste in noi come memoria e fuori di noi come oggetto su cui memorizzare.Con la mia installazione voglio rappresentare la materializzazione, tramite l’uso di un supporto per memorizzare (il tape delle VHS), di una rete di salvataggio. Una rete effimera, quasi immateriale, leggera, sospesa, una rete che serve a produrre, nel nostro immaginario, la linea temporale che ci restituirà il futuro. La rete come società, come possibilità di connessione.

To be motivated to perform whatever task, we need to hope in a success, usually we do not consciously embark on tasks desperate. In this present locked in the contingent, in the incessant management of ongoing emergencies here and now, there is no space for the future. The condition for the existence of hope it’s the future and this only exists if there is a past. This latter exists (if exists) inside us as a memory and outside us as a tool for storing. With my installation, I want to represent the materialization, through the use of a support for storing (the tape of VHS),of a safety net. An ephemeral net, almost immaterial, light, suspended, a net that is used to produce, in our imagination, the timeline that will bring us back to the future. The net is also the society, as a possibility of connection.
